Issues

Admins, Tickets

Inadequate Information

If the player does not provide adequate information in the ticket, use the following to respond to the player:

  • -tickets

No Response

If the player has ceased responding to the ticket, use the following tag to respond to the player

  • -nr

If there is no response within 24 hours, close out the ticket without any further action.

Assignments

Admins, Tickets

Tickets are to be assigned to the admin team responsible for them using the following Discord command from within the ticket:

  • Island-Extinction: IE
  • Ragnarok: Rag
  • Guero-Scorched: GS
  • Center-Ab: CE
  • Genesis: Gen
  • Donations: donation
  • High Priority: HP

Handling

Admins, Tickets
  • Tickets will be answered in the order we receive them.
    • critical issues, listed below, will supercede this requirement
  • Tickets will be assigned to and handled by the team responsible for the server
    • if the issues spans multiple servers, the team responsible for the first leg will have the ticket assigned to them and then pass it off to the next team
    • issues that prevent play are considered high-priority and will be handled by the first available admin regardless of team
  • Ticket channels should not be used for cross-talk
  • Once the ticket is resolved, all actions must be logged in your team’s log channel
    • use the ?atl command on discord

High-Priority Issues

  • Lost character, dino, or items
  • Removed from tribe
  • Griefing or theft
  • Player or dino is stuck

Critical tickets are to be moved to the #high-priority tickets channel and should be handled by the first available admin, regardless of what team they are on.

Bases and Outposts

Any structure that has exceeded 15 days of decay time should be destroyed, without prior warning to the tribe or player, through the use of the admin gun

BOB Structures

Any wood or thatch structure, which is located on or near a beach, is small in footprint, and has decayed for more than 48 hours may be destroyed without any prior warning.

DetroyTribe Commands

These commands may be used, but only after you have verified that the tribe/player no longer players on the cluster.  This includes use on BOB Structures.

Abandoned Dinos

Server Maintenance

If abandoned dinos are found anywhere on the map, do the following

  1. Server broadcast
    1. Notify the tribes that they must collect the dino within two minutes or it will be sent to the impound lot.
  2. Discord broadcast
    1. Ping the tribe on Discord, if they have set up a tribe role, and notify them that they must collect the dino within two minutes or it will be sent to the impound lot.
  3. Teleport the dino(s) to the impound lot using the MoveTargetTo command
    1. cheat MoveTargetTo -71467 52156 12536

Impound Lot

All teams should have a centralized, out of the way, location built for sending parked and abandoned dinos.  The coordinates to this location should be recorded and made available to the Team.

Player Bases and Community Structures

If a player submits a ticket indicating that someone has left a dino at their base, do the following

  1. Server broadcast
    1. Notify the tribe that they must remove the dino within two minutes or it will be sent to the Impound Lot
  2. Discord broadcast
    1. Ping the tribe on Discord, if they have set up a tribe role, and notify them that they must remove the dino within two minutes or it will be sent to the impound lot.
  3. Teleport the dino(s) to the impound lot using the MoveTargetTo command

Impound Lot

No-Go's

Community Abuse

Admins, NoGo

All admins are held to the same conduct standards as any other player on the cluster.  The community will not make the distinction between acts as an admin as a player, so admins should refrain from any activity, action, or speech that could be construed as either aggressive or abusive.

Server-wide Commands

Admins, NoGo

Under no circumstance are you permitted to use any command, without prior authorization, that has server-wide impacts.  Commands that affect game speed, character/dino movement, or are universally destructive are prohibited.

Tribe Issues

Admins, NoGo

In any instance where an admin would be required to either use commands or exert authority, you may not act as an admin on behalf of your tribe.  Like the rest of the community, you will be required to submit a ticket and wait for admin assistance.

Replacements

Characters

Admins, Replacements

Character replacement can be a rather complicated and time-consuming process, so ensure that the player has at least 30 minutes to complete the process before even beginning.  To replace a character, do the following

  1. Determine what experience the character had, or what level the character was at-loss
    1. screenshots of the character inventory or tribe log showing level are required
  2. Determine what, if any, boss fights the player has completed
    1. screenshots of the implant showing boss fights completed are required
  3. Determine if the player had any dinos imprinted to them
  4. Collect the player’s previous and current Specimen IDs
  5. Add EXPERIENCE to the character
  6. Transfer Imprints
    1. TransferImprints oldPlayerID newPlayerID NewImprinterName
      1. Imprints will only be transferred if the player has both their old and current specimen IDs
  7. Add missing Tekgrams
    1. cheat GiveTekengramsTo 125785415 tek
      1. Use the Engrams List to locate the appropriate commands to push

Character Experience

Admins, Replacements

To add experience to a character, do the following

  1. Use the Character Experience Table and copy the experience needed for the character level at-loss
    1. this isn’t necessary if the player’s screenshot includes the amount of experience they had at-loss
  2. Use the Experience to Add Calculator to determine how much experience to add
    1. ensure that the current experience multiplier slider is set to the current cluster experience rate
  3. Copy the output from the calculator
  4. Use the GiveExperienceToPlayer command
    1. GiveExpToPlayer PlayerID HowMuch FromTribeShare PreventSharingWithTribe
      1. FromTribeShare must always be 0
      2. PreventSharingWithTribe must always be 1

Dino Experience

Admins, Replacements

To add experience to a dino, do the following

  1. Mount the dino
  2. Use the AddExperience command
    1. AddExperience HowMuch FromTribeShare PreventSharingWithTribe
      1. addexperience 250 0 1
      2. Tribeshare must always be 0
      3. PreventSharing must always be 1

Imprinting

Admins, Replacements

If you need to imprint a Bred dino, do the following

  1. Determine the imprint percentage of the dino at-loss
    1. if the player doesn’t know the exact imprint percentage, use their best guess
  2. Target the dino
  3. Use the SetImprintedPlayer command
    1. SetImprintedPlayer “NewImprinterName” playerID
  4. Use the SetImprintQuality command
    1. imprint quality is a range from 0-1 employed as percent in decimal form
      1. if the player indicated that the dino was 50% imprinted
        1. setimprintquality 0.5
      2. if the player indicated that the dino was 33% imprinted
        1. setimprintquality 0.33
      3. We will never exceed an imprint quality of 1

Tamed Dinos

Admins, Replacements

To replace a tamed dino, you cannot spawn it in at its current level as affinity levels are added to each spawned dino.  To replace tamed dinos, do the following

  1. Determine both the level the dino was tamed at and the level the dino was at-loss
  2. Input the tamed level into the Dino Spawn Calculator
    1. the tamed level is the level the dino was when taming was finished, not the level it was when taming began
      1. we will not use the level the dino was when taming began due to the potential for affinity loss during taming
  3. Use the GMSummon command to spawn the dino at the level indicated on the calculator
    1. cheat GMSummon “Dodo_Character_BP_C” 100
    2. Creature ID’s can be found HERE
  4. Determine the number of levels to be added by subtracting the level of the spawned dino from the level of the dino at-loss
  5. Locate the level in the [DINOEXPERIENCETABLELINK] and copy the experience required for that level
  6. Input the copied experience into the Experience to Add Calculator
    1. ensure that you have adjusted the Current Exp Multiplier to the current experience rate being run on the cluster
  7. Add EXPERIENCE based on the output from the Experience to Add Calculator

Bred Dinos

Admins, Replacements

We will never spawn replacements for bred dinos as we cannot guarantee stats on the spawns.  You may wind up with much better, or much worse, stats on the spawned dino.

  1. Have the player produce baby dinos in the number that need to be replaced
    1. it is advisable to have the player hatch/birth the dinos and then cryopod them
  2. Target the dino and use the SetBabyAge command to instantly raise it
    1. setbabyage 1
  3. IMPRINT the dino
  4. Determine what, if any, levels need to be added to the replacement dino
    1. Determine the number of levels to be added by subtracting the level of the replacement dino from the level of the dino at-loss
  5. Locate the level in the [DINOEXPERIENCETABLELINK] and copy the experience required for that level
  6. Input the copied experience into the Experience to Add Calculator
    1. ensure that you have adjusted the Current Exp Multiplier to the current experience rate being run on the cluster
  7. Add EXPERIENCE based on the output from the Experience to Add Calculator

 

Transfer Loss

Admins, Replacements

In the event that a player requests replacements following a transfer-loss, do the following

  1. Confirm that the transfer-loss occurred
    1. in almost every instance the player will have lost their character
  2. Gather a list of items, resources, and creatures from the player
  3. Collect whatever proof the player has
  4. Provide replacements in accordance with the SOPs for [CHARACTERLINK], [DINOLINK], and [ITEMLINK].

Rollbacks

Admins, Replacements

In the event that there is a rollback and players request replacements, do the following

  1. Confirm that a rollback occurred
  2. Gather a list of items and creatures from the player
    1. resources will not be replaced
  3. Collect whatever proof the player has
  4. Provide replacements in accordance with the SOPs for [DINOLINK] and [ITEMLINK]

Multiple Bases/Outposts

Any time we receive a complaint or find that a tribe has more than one base structure we will do the following.

  1. Attempt to contact the tribe leader or admins using in-game chat, Xbox, and Discord
  2. If you can make contact with the player
    1. inform them of the rules and where to find them
    2. establish a timeline for them to dismantle all but one of their bases
  3. If you are unable to make contact with the tribe
    1. post a sign at the entrance of a primary structure, at each location, requiring that they contact you within 48 hours
      1. if the player makes contact follow the steps outlined above
      2. if the player does not make contact
        1. Use DestroyTribeStructures to remove their bases

Built Too Close

Admins, Building

Any time we receive a complaint that one player has built within 30 foundations of another player, do the following:

  1. Determine who was in the area first
  2. Attempt contact with the second player in the area via in-game chat, Xbox, and Discord
  3. If you can make contact with the player
    1. inform them of the rules and where to find them
    2. establish a timeline for their departure from the area
    3. inform the first player in the area of that timeline
  4. If you are unable to make contact with the player
    1. post a sign at the entrance of a primary structure requiring that they contact you within 48 hours
      1. if the player makes contact follow the steps outlined above
      2. if the player does not make contact
        1. Use DestroyTribeStructures to remove their base
